Today is my last day at Google. I joined as an intern almost 18 years ago, and it still feels like it was yesterday. I'm incredibly grateful that I got to work with so many amazing and talented folks, but I'm also excited (and terrified!) to try something new. First step: a few months of travel and photography :)
@romainguy Wow! Congrats on the break. Looking forward to see where you land next. 🎉
@romainguy Congratulations on a great run and for wherever life takes you next!

@romainguy That's quite sad to hear. I've looked up to you, @dsandler, and @chethaase (yeah, I know) since I was a kid and got my first Android phone that ran Ice Cream Sandwich! Now I make stuff for the platform.

Enjoy your rest. Can't wait to see what you do next! Take tons of photos, okay? :D <3

@romainguy from the first time our paths crossed back in 2008, was always a pleasure. Your impact on the platform is nothing short of remarkable! Enjoy the time off.
@romainguy Oh wow, bonne continuation !
@romainguy thank you for all your great work over the years. Wish you a good break and whatever comes after.
@romainguy add me to the long list of people that are deeply grateful to you, and I'm excited for your well deserved travels and photography!
@romainguy bon saut dans l'inconnu et good luck for whatever comes next!
@romainguy thank you so much for all you've done for the community in your time at Google.
@romainguy Congrats and good luck with your next chapter!
@romainguy You definitely deserve that time off. Take some deep, relaxing breaths with no (work) stress on your shoulders. Enjoy the traveling and photography, as we know you will!
@romainguy congratulations on entering a new chapter! Excited to see what comes next! Filament it’s such an incredible contribution. Looking forward!
@romainguy wow, truly an end of an era!
@romainguy looking forward for your photos 😀
All the best for your next move
@romainguy Wow! Definitely the end of an era! Looking forward to your next endeavor! Your journey has been inspiring
@romainguy Thanks for your work.
@romainguy Amazing tenure! The real question is who is going to deop you on #android-dev IRC?
@jw damn I forgot about that IRC channel 😂
@romainguy looking forward to seeing the photos
@ruby0x1 You and me both 😄 And this time I can't use work as an excuse to not edit and publish them!
@romainguy The end of an era. Thank you for everything you have done for the platform and especially for the community! It was always a pleasure to cross path with you! I'm sad I won't see you at conferences anymore but glad you will enjoy a well deserved break and start a new chapter in your life! Take care

@romainguy Thanks for all the podcasts, conference talks, blog posts, and so much more (View.java ;) !

Aside: I do hope @tornorbye continues the ADB podcast. The best way to stay up-to-date with the latest Android developments.

@romainguy Thank you for all the good work over the years! Hope you'll take a page out of @chethaase's book and still show up in ADB from time to time.

Happy (photography) hunting!

@romainguy End of an era! Thanks for everything you did for the community!
@romainguy Thanks for all your work. Have fun in your next adventure.
Hope you'll still be around Android Dev Fr slack.
@romainguy Wow amazing, enjoy your travels, looking forward to a lot of pictures in a blog
@romainguy ohlala, ça fait bizarre de voir partir celui qui m'a inspiré pour rejoindre Google. J'ai hâte de voir ce que tu réserves pour la suite.
@romainguy It feels almost ubelievable since, as far as I can remember you've always been in the Android team.
Albeit being sad for the android community losing a fundamental point of reference, I'm happy for you and your future life, whatever it would set aside and what your next adventure would be. Wish you all the best for the upcoming months of travel and photography and beyond
@romainguy congrats and safe travels!!
@romainguy  I was searching for your CL on Gerrit today and noticed that the avatar had become the default, I was surprised at first, but double checked that there was nothing wrong... Good luck to the next decade!
