In case some people are not aware, Elon has expressed the desire for the US to exit NATO/The UN. On another hand, the former NATO commander, James Stravidis anticipates the dismantling of NATO.

As Elon is a an US official now(if you can call it this way) it might not be a fantasy for this man to influence Trump's actions.

Both NATO and the U.N. were founded by the U.S. and other victors of World War II to promote diplomacy and cooperation between nations as well as to prevent another global war.

@erlandvisor US exiting NATO doesn’t mean the dismantling of it. Let they leave. For all intents and purposes, they support Russia, so it doesn’t make any sense for them to be part of NATO, and doesn’t make any difference now if they are part or not.

@sbenitezb that is true. My texts' purpose is a reminder from a USA-based perspective to give an overview of the situation and eventual hypotheticals. Might have been exagerated with the former NATO commander's insight.

Perhaps it had also been an outcry of the revelation of losing a strategic partner, with whom most europeans identify as an extension of Europe and vice-versa. It's a sad state of affairs in today's geopolitics.
