A community member made the following statement at a recent school board meeting on the subject - and I co-sign :
"The idea that someone would pretend to be another gender to gain competitive edge in their sport shows a woeful misunderstanding of transgender persons' experiences".

@kottke It is very cruel to attack trans people. The ones I know and love just want to live in peace. They aren't activist, just people doing their best to survive. It takes a really mean group of people to actively oppose that. I'm sad that people actually voted some of these angry, judgmental people into Congress and the White house. human I would also like to also add "weak and insecure" to the list and extend its range to "terrorizing any community". Yes that even includes terrorizing nazis and they are some of the worst people I can think of.
But you have to be a very weak, small, insecure and pathetic to terrorize any group that doesn't threaten anyone.
