Francois DionMaking the last parts that will go on the outside of the case. Doing a mono send and stereo return (drilled), so I can connect guitar pedals to the #modular. On the mono send I'm adding an attenuator adjustable with a screwdriver (basically a potentiometer but with a very short shaft so it doesn't snag into anything - plus once adjusted it should stay roughly the same). I'm putting 3.5mm jacks inside the case, just got to figure a way to hold them in place.
Progress has been slow as I decided to have stereo send and receive. That way I can use stereo pedals to the full but can also run two mono send / receive chains. On top of that, by connecting the send and receive with a 1/4" patch cable I can use these as attenuators.
The soldering and layout was a little bit tricky and I had to stagger the holes so the nuts are partly recessed (else the threaded part is too short).

The pots are nearly flush, no risk to snag them on something. They are 1/8" shaft Bourne pots made for that purpose. NOS from the 80s. Faceplate is a 12hp 1U tile I got blank from pulp logic. Not as pretty as the aluminum and plastic dual layer faceplates of factory modules, but still nice (nicer than just a hole in the case). On to soldering the return harness now.

I finished the side panels, from left to right, headphone & line out, all 1/4", module bought from pulp logic and adapted to the case. Next stereo returns, no extra gain (we will see in practice if needed) stamped arrow and L R. Etched would have been more pro, but it is functional. Finally, stereo send each channel with attenuator, stamped lettering once more.
The other end is terminated by 3.5mm jacks. Haven't done the 3U 2hp panel for them yet.

Greys Abiding 🎹@f_dion You may have run across my post about modding a Rhodes Suitcase some time ago. I found this nifty jack plate to use, sourced as a sliding door pull from a cabinet store. Good size for jacks yet small, solid metal.
