@EUCommission It's a nice symbol, and I wholeheartedly support it. But as long as several EU national governments (e.g. Hungary, Slovakia, the Netherlands) are run by fascists who are in Russia's pockets, we can forget about this being reality.

@Tapioseta @chrastecky @super_user_do @EUCommission The US has always been a rogue state with its aggressive foreign policy, long history of overthrowing other countries’ governments, or just straight up invading other countries when they don’t get want they want. Which is hard to pin down, exactly, because so many of these military interventions seem to accomplish nothing but the butchering of people and the sale of weapons.

@EUCommission - What needs to be done is to become MORE INDEPENDENT from US IT-software and infrastructure. There are already European alternatives for important software programs, but they are not well promoted. The EU should step up to boost these (small) companies who are using - mostely - Opensource software. There are alternatives for social media, for office software, etc... And why not let the best European software engineers working on an Operating System based on Linux (for example), that makes us independent of Windows too.
Promote Nokia/HMD, promote european sports technology like Polar/Suunto, promote european laptop brands like Schenker and XMG.
