@AzulCrescent new comic, so soon!
#Alt4You (1/4)
An AzulCrescent comic, fully shaded color, 6 panels.
Panel 1.
Caption: "I don't consider myself a good person."
Azoo, eyes closed, hair blowing in the wind.
Panel 2.
Caption: "I have seen people who consider themselves to be good harbor
intensely vile and harmful thoughts and actions against other people."
A smiling person in a white gown, with a halo. But the halo is made out of blood, their hands are covered in it, and their eyes are hidden.

Panel 3.
Caption: "Because to them, it isn't wrong."
Panel divided into a light and dark half.
On the light half, the person from panel 2 (in dark colors) is standing, wielding a sword. "They are good, therefore their actions *must* also be good."
On the dark half, someone in light colors (similar to Azoo) is on their knees, pleading, at the other person's mercy. "The person they are harming must be evil."
Caption: "Hence they are justified."

Panel 4.
Caption: "And what each person considers good could be different."
Four examples with icons: Generosity (hand giving a coin), Empathy (heart), Authority (crown), Wealth (coins).
Caption: "It can be so undefined."
Panel 5.
"I think human existence is tiring, scary and painful as it is already,"
Azoo, sighing, looking slightly upwards, hopeful.
"So I just try to live in a way that brings me and other people around me joy, as long as it doesn't harm anyone."

Panel 6.
The earth and the moon, floating in space, on a dark background filled with stars.
"I just think... It makes the world a slightly nicer place to live in."
@AzulCrescent thank you for this wonderful comic. This echoes such a beautiful sentiment.
I often say it like this:
The universe is cold and uncaring, so all the warmth and love must come from each of us.
There is so much more I could say, as I sit here, slightly teary-eyed, of what I think, hope, and believe.
But I will leave it at the thank you, and look forward to your next comic.
Also, 500 chars is short, I notice...
@AzulCrescent No worries, this time I saw the comic fly into my timeline.
The edits are fine, it is, after all my interpretation of your art, and always just a suggestion to base the alt text on, no need to copy it verbatim.
Also, yes to that. The beauty of a single life is so fleeting, and yet there are those who refuse to see it for some people, just because they are different. It is profoundly sad that they cannot or do not want to see this. The world would be nicer if they would.
@AzulCrescent From what I can tell, I'd say you're a good person. I suppose what you said in the last two panels aligns with what I think is good. ("Don't make it worse" is basically my guiding life principle.)
But sorry for pigeon-holing you with a label you don't self-identify with!
@AzulCrescent ironically this is basically the philosophy of the bible
We as humans, flawed as we are, can't actually be, or even really comprehend, ‘absolute good’. It simply isn't possible.
But that doesn't stop us trying to be the best we can be, from considering our actions, from reflecting on them, and seeking to make amends when we fall short. Because we will fall short, and that's okay, what matters is that when we do we act with humility and continue to work on ourselves in the face of it.
Those that claim to be without fault though, they are truly lost. ‘and their arrogance is an abomination to the Lord’.
It's a shame so many ‘true believers’ don't understand this at all.
@AzulCrescent true, true.
