Well, I seem to have acquired a Pentel Kerry, Pentel Graphgear 1000, a Leuctturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr.2 and am waiting for a TWSBI Vac 700R. I think I may have a pen / pencil addiction.

@roguewolf nice! I recently picked up a drehgriffel pencil too, I like it a lot, but for different things than I like my other mechanical pencils. I hold it differently I think?
@silhelm I definitely agree. The shape causes me to rest my index finger on the upper side, which is slightly different to how I hold more rounded mechanical pencils. It's also my first 0.7mm. I tried it today with a puzzle book which has quite rough, cheap paper and it was a pleasure to use. The thicker lead meant it didn't tear the paper like the 0.5mm ones and it felt very comfortable in the hand. The weight distribution is perfect.
@silhelm I thought I'd miss the eraser, but I just kept a separate one to hand and that was fine.

@roguewolf I am enjoying it for faster sketching too, due to the weight and the way it lays in my hand.

I have them as ballpoint and gel pen too, I am not a bp fan usually but for what they are they're good. I am enjoying their gel refills and actually bought LT gel refills for my parker jotters too, suddenly I am using them more..

@silhelm That's a good tip, thank you. I’m not a ballpoint fan either, although I do use the Pilot V5 Hi-Tecpoint 0.5 pens as I like the finer nibs. I'll have to get a Leuchtturm one to try though - thanks for the recommendation 🙂 I also have a couple of Parker Jotters so would be good to give them a new lease of life.
@roguewolf oh and I usually don't like the eraser in the pencil, because once you start exploring erasers and find the really good ones it's hard to go back 😬🥰
@silhelm Oh no, that sounds like another rabbit hole I’ll probably end up going down! 😁

@roguewolf "oh no"

Sorry for penabling (not) 😁

@silhelm 😁 love it 😄
@roguewolf the pentel clic eraser pen is my EDC pen case carry, on my desk I tend to keep large soft japanese ones (like kokuyo resare and similar). I also like the faber castell grip eraser in the little plastic twisty sleeve, it's very soft and nice for being european and also I think it's marketed towards younger people? Which makes it remarkably good. Not as good as the japanese ones, but still very good, and pen case friendly because of the sleeve.
@silhelm I definitely like the sound of the Faber and the Pentel Clic. I've added a Pentel Hi-Polymer to my EDC but it's chunky so a bit of a pain to get into and out of the elastic straps. I'll have a look at the Japanese ones too. I can see more purchases in the next few hours 😄
