Seeing the trailer a few weeks ago made me interested in seeing #LoveHurts #LoveHurtsFilm #LoveHurtsMovie . I liked the overall premise involving #KeHuyQuan 's character, and he does a good job of conveying the conflict. #ArianaDeBose also does a good job with the nuances of her character. Both actors individually are good but they have zero chemistry together, which is a problem since there's a very thin romance story between them. #MovieReviews #FilmReviews 1/3

Except said "romance" is only conveyed in a few lines of dialogue and really nothing else. That whole subplot could have been left out with a slight tweak to make the rest of the story work.

The film itself is very uneven and disjointed, switching between very good action sequences and attempts to inject love threads in the story which for the most part don't work. 2/3

Can't really recommend going to a theatre for this. It might be a decent movie to watch at home for a diversion but be advised that it's very violent and bloody in some scenes and there is liberal use of the f word. #LoveHurts #LoveHurtsFilm #LoveHurtsMovie 3/3
