@davidho by having a meeting? Does the thing say "only white males strict definition"? Would a wheelchair ramp be a violation? Do they fear a wild black lesbian might suddenly appear?

Seriously, how could having a meeting be a poblem even with that madness going on. I fail to understand.

That is a very tough spot you find yourself in. You carefully elided who canceled the meetings which is understandable at this point. Thank you for sharing what is going on with your group. Did the canceler of the meetings indicate what they expected the enforcement mechanism of the EO to be? Is there a time frame for "on hold" like did they tell you to expect an update in x days/weeks or just open ended? Good luck! And nevermind if too much stress or not enough time to respond.

@davidho Nobody can stop you from talking to other scientists about whatever you like to discuss. Worst they can do is stop funding but I assume you meet online so don’t need travel funding?
