Went to the launch of The Nightmare Sequence at Smith's Alternative in Canberra last night, a book collaboration between Safdar Ahmed (drawings) and Omar Sakr (poems), on Israel's genocide in Gaza.
The book shows two artists struggling with how to use their voices to respond to this horror. At a time when so much of the arts and cultural establishment in Australia have gone to water. A moving act of love and solidarity.

The part about Mars alone already makes this a worthwhile reading. It summarizes everything we had known for decades until Elon and his cultists decided to summarily discard all scientific evidence.
Any lifeless rock floating in space is about as "habitable" as Mars. The Red Planet has no breathable air, no water, no flora, no fauna and no arable soil. Any *one* of these five facts is a hard counter to the "martian colony" pipe dream, take your pick.
