Class affects every single aspect of society and every person, both gay and straight, cisgender or transgender. Let me ask you a question. Which do you think an oppressed LGBTQ person would benefit from more: a capitalist society where the main motivation is profit and where their healthcare needs regarding their gender, sex life, etc, are unaffordable, or a socialist society where healthcare is free and where gender and sex related healthcare needs, are prioritized above profit? 1/3

A society is shaped by the contradictions of that society, and the most prolific contradiction is that of class struggle, the struggle between the owners of the means of production and the ones who do not own them, in this case, between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. 2/3

@[email protected] can I ask; why do it seem anytime someone wants to address divisions beyond class, class reductionists act as if we are wanting to ignore class altogether? The graphic literally states that β€œclass analysis is not enough for us”. It isn’t enough for a lot of us who are racialized, disabled, survivors of complex trauma, and who are targeted by yt supremes ideologies. 1/2

@[email protected] Class does not speak enough about these contradictions, and the class reductionists in our spaces seemingly refuse to address the divisions. It seems likely this urge to ignore divisions is rooted in fear that liberatory movements will no longer center yt leftists and their agendas. I guess time will tell if these things can be reconciled. 2/2

@[email protected] you’re very hostile and don’t really engage in good faith. It seems that you can only see within a limited scope of political understanding. At the end of the day, it maybe shows a lack of experience dealing with intercommunal violence within leftist spaces on your part. It also shows abuse apologist notions and sensibilities, because you seem to not even want to listen to survivors of violence you may not experience. I hope you get over yourself soon.

Resorting to ad hominem attacks does neither of us any good. You were proven wrong, and yet you feel the need to double down for no good reason. @des idk if you can block ppl on here, but I recommend at least isolating these authcom types who really only give a fuck about their β€œproletariat revolution”. These types of Authcoms see themselves as the vanguard because they are yt and don’t know how to exist beyond their own authoritarian sensibilities their grand daddy handed down to them. They are just another version of yt supremes who thinks they know better for marginalized ppl than they do. ❀️‍πŸ”₯

I'm basically on your side on this matter. I also believe that social issues are important. I just viewed them from a class perspective is all.
