@burnoutqueen its just "civilization" as commonly understand has from its founding led to a reduction of quality of life from its founding whether in Mesopotamia, china, Mexico, Egypt or wherever else. It led to worse health, lowered life expectancy, less down time on and on. Given that I don't understand trying to claim "civilization" has anything to do with "quality of life improvements" . The other metrics are equally questionable given for example literacy for its first several Millennium was almost exclusively used to record populations, land and agricultural outpouts to allow the ruling class to better exploit the people they control.

"Barbarism" has always always just been used to criticize a group opposing the "civilized" in group and its expansionist projects. This is hardly an "inversion" and is just always what these ideas have been meant and used for.

You can eat this, but it does have a weird texture and is usually described as "survival food", i.e., you would eat it to survive, but only if you didn't have anything else.

It's not bad at all pan fried on the side of my pine tip pilaf, but that is a bit of propane.

It's recommended for soups and stews, so I'll update tomorrow--putting a bit in my anasazi beans.

I'm also running out of kale tomorrow so any sort of greens are going to be yum yum; maybe it's an acquired taste like the bitter greens I was eating in Flagstaff last year because no money.

I'm going to be one hell of a healthy old fart if I keep on eating all these medicinals, lol. 😂
