Polly Toynbee makes a very good point. If you want to prevent a far right-wing takeover, you need #ElectoralReform which prevents them getting a majority voice in parliament. Even if you give the right a few extra seats, it helps expose their exclusionary policies so that the public can see, understand, and keep them diminished.

So, why has #KeirStarmer gone quiet on #ProportionalRepresentation?

@DBailey635 Why shouldn't it be possible for a parlement to be won by absolute majority, isn't that the hole point of democratie: that one or more parties seek absolute majorities, preferably by coalition. Coalition is were PR shines!

The guard rails agains tyranicall gouverments should be in constitutional laws and judicial precedence.
