Part of my work experience in predicting the Arab Spring in December 2009 was that a decade earlier I was working for #Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, owner of the Seattle Seahawks, Portland Trailblazers, Jimi Hendrix Museum (Pop Culture renamed), films, Hollywood friends, space tech, software, etc.

I had an office job in Bellevue 10 doors down from the 3rd richest person on the planet for 2.5 years where I had unlimited technical resources to do research. I was an internal consultant, previous in 1995 billable at $250/hour when Microsoft Consulting Redmond recommended me for the job working for co-founder Allen. I was the highest-level consultant for Software Spectrum (Garland Texas)

I had recently published a book on Microsoft's new social media product, Exchange Server while working at the Garland HQ of Software Spectrum... Microsoft Consulting Redmond was sending me top jobs to Boeing airlines, Alyeska oil pipeline, even Bill Gate's father's law firm Preston-Gates. I was a certified instructor/teacher on Exchange Server, and taught Microsoft employees in Redmond.

This was an amazing year to be a new employee. And I had all the tools I needed to analyze sports teams, corporate media / Public Relations, ESPN, emerging commercial Internet, Hollywood music and films, etc.

I was born in Columbus, Georgia, I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana - I had worked for health insurance ("THE" United Health Care), Steel Factory, Plastics Factory, my own retail hot-rod Personal Computer shop, and a Pentagon military software systems contractor as Apprentice (all in Fort Wayne)

I did not go to any ivy league school, I was self-made self-taught and had published several books and was recognized by IBM as a social media Ambassador. That is how I got the job for the 3rd richest person in the world at age 26 managing the newest most bleeding-edge social media product.

Cleanly Bill Gates and Paul Allen could have hired thousands of qualified Microsoft employees for the job I got, but they hired me from Fort Wayne, Indiana who was entirely new to Seattle area... because I was willing to work after-hours and on Thanksgiving day... I was a TOTAL outsider to $$$$$$

I was no Nepo Baby who got a job working for Microsoft co-founder. And it was a wild 2.5 years, and the time before that when I was a consultant in Bellevue.

I did a lot thinking in my Bellevue office about billionaires and society. And people in Seattle how they reacted to me when they casually asked where I worked... they all knew who Paul Allen was.

At the end of 1999 #Y2K - I turned age 30 and I decided that I had reached the peak of Corporate America Ladder managing the media private data of the Microsoft Board of Directors... and I never went back to a USA corporate office job again.
