Been debating for weeks now whether I should swap out my current Kubuntu Linux for Linux Mint. I really like Kubuntu but the Plasma interface has been rather unreliable and problematic, occasionally freezing or acting erratic. Guess I'll start making a list of all the Apps I have installed and take it from there. #linux #kubuntu #FOSS #linuxmint
@StefanoL This is the right decision
@StefanoL You can install cinnamon alongside KDE without reinstalling the OS entirely
@convexer Yeah but I have other issues and today I had to update Citrix workspace and it literally broke my Kubuntu. Did not want to boot at all. I was able to boot into Ubuntu Studio as I had dual boot so I can still hopefully save some of the files I didn't back up from last week. Then it will be a clean install of Mint.

@StefanoL

I had Kubuntu on this machine for a few years and I finally wiped it and went back to Ubuntu.
Kubuntu had cool stuff but Gnome/Ubuntu feels more solid and I like being on something that has so many help suggestions online.

Updatiing is better on Ubuntu I think.

@mistergenest I wiped KUbuntu as well off my machine as the KDE Plasme was giving me all sorts of issues. Went back to Linux Mint myself, super stable, looks great and so far all the software I had to hunt and peck for is now all available on the Linux Mint Software Manager.
