@mumbojumbo the pattern instructions are really detailed with photographs showing the decreases and increases step by step. It was the first time I made a garment in crochet, and it was ok imo. Oh and it's crocheted in the round, so no need to stitch/sew panels together at the end. You can try it as you go too!

@elisemakes very cute! I'm curious about trying the Yarnsmiths range. Have you used Stylecraft acrylics before (eg Special DK)? If so, how does it compare? (That's my default acrylic, which I use for a lot of blankets that need to be easy to wash, but I'm interested in trying Yarnsmiths.)
