Atelier Sylphe ( @ateliersylphe ) is now on here and this is a post of adoration! I've been making corsets for over 20 years now and the patterns are my favourite I've ever used, with links to really granular instructions. Made from actual antique corsets and following all the historical lines to great effect!

Here I'm wearing my Late Victorian single layer coutil corset which I made in 2022.

I'm idly wondering if these should have some kind of warning but there's no eye contact, they're not selfies and they're not even racy... I am giving a mental shrug and might change something if someone tells me to, later!
@sinituulia Thanks!
Not related, may i ask what @eldritch.cafe is related (forgive the newby i'm) just funny as it make me think of Andrew Eldritch from The goth Band "The sisters Of Mercy" i use to listen a lot, well, several years ago.

@ateliersylphe They're such nice patterns! 🥰

I don't really know where the name comes from, the people who set it up are French though! I think they just thought it sounded fun? It's a genre of horror fiction, also.
I still like The Sisters of Mercy, and listen to it sometimes. 😄 I saw a live concert many years ago!

@sinituulia Great! I saw some Sisters gigs too, i collect bootlegs, test pressing and memorabilia , i also help Mick Mercer to write an article regarding the Damage done acetate for Melody Maker mag age ago and another book in France by "le camion blanc". Haha, just bring up so many old memories so i have to write a little, forgive my goth fan side came up suddenly.
@ateliersylphe Memories are good! I think there is a lot of goth people on Mastodon, so it might be interesting to them, too. I was goth even as a child, my favourite colour was black! 🖤
@sinituulia @ateliersylphe years ago (when I was still tightlacing 24/7) I took a sewing course and made two corsets on my own. 😊
