In case you missed it - #TheIndieBeat FM has a new channel called "Not What I Call Radio Bonk Wave", managed and curated by bonkwave.org.

You can access it in either place:

This was made possible by some great innovations.

First, @benpate 's federated music service https://bandwagon.fm allowed us to upload the albums.

Then, an integration between #Bandwagon and #TheIndieBeat FM radio station meant the tracks could be shared directly to the station.

Finally, @mizkirsten created a new channel specifically for us, managed by me, and now curated by the #BonkWave contributors.

This type of collaboration feels like a big step into the future!

I should also add - this wouldn't be possible without consent from all the artists involved.

For Volume 003 we specified a limited distribution right that included exactly this type of community radio station - and also the majority of the tracks are released under explicit Creative Commons licenses.

For prior releases we've only added the tracks with explicit artist consent, or where CC-licenced.

New submissions will be requested by the artists themselves.

Never really followed the Bonkwave stuff last year, but I listened to a day of this channel yesterday and think I'm beginning to "get" it. Enjoyed it for sure - thanks all!
