For a while, between #LaserDisc & DVD, there was a huge wave of #VCD #VideoCD stuff in Asia. Some of it made it to Europe
Lot of it knock off - not all of it

Playable in CDi, PCs, Commodore CD-TV, 3D0, PS One - with Memory Stick bodge, & a few other devices

They were MPEG 1, low bite rate & blocky. But hey, it’s what we had. Conforming to White Book Standard

They were cheap too

Video CD remained huge in Asia for years, especially in the Karaoke Market
