A few days ago, pixelfed.social had about 6K monthly active users.
Now its 31K and counting, and while the service is a bit slow, it's still managing to stay online while I work on improving the app so I can firefight the backend afterwards.
Never a dull moment, but I'm living for this
I did recommend your site a couple of times. That's probably why you're having such an influx of new users.
Is there a quick tldr guide on how to get started either with a current mastodon account or making a totally new account?

The single best tip I can give you is to USE and FOLLOW #HashTags. There’s no algorithm, so that’s how you find and be found by other users. Maximum two or three #HashTags, and use CamelCase for multi-word tags for people with screen readers.

Also feel free to ask for help if you want! I am sort of an unofficial tech support account.
@dansup i donate a dollar a week to fediverse services (once a year, through liberapay) and I suggest everyone who can afford it do the same.
so folks like you have funds to expand and keep up the service. Even if you personally dont need it, there are definitely devs and admins who do. :)
