@randahl that's not evidence of inflation let alone proof. It's just as easily explained by corporate greed keeping prices high.
@Tanath when prices increase, that is inflation. The term inflation is agnostic to the cause of the price increase.
@randahl that's one kind of inflation. The other kind is the decline in the value of money, usually from increased money supply, leading to lower purchasing power. This is usually what economists mean, not "prices go up". Prices being hiked can be caused by many things, usually not inflation.
