I think I'm going to start today with the #StuffNootNootPlayedIn2025! I'm going to add to this toot about the games I finish this year (2025 mostly) so i can come back at the end of the year!

I think I'll add them here also:
https://thee6626.codeberg.page/posts/video-games-i-played-in-2025/
https://thee6626.codeberg.page/posts/board-games-i-played-in-2025/

I need to give the blog some love too! I'll change the post retention here to auto-delete after a year so I can check this out later.

If you want, you can silence the tag!

Video Games I Played in 2025 (and some 2024)

I’m writing this list to keep track of the videogames I play during the year. I want to come back here in december next year and take a look at what I’ve been up to in videogames during the year. I’ll make another post for Board Games. December Donkey Kong 64 Oh wow, what a ride. I liked the game but it was very frustrating. As I said on Mastodon:

Haj

Just finished #VideoGames #DonkeyKong64 as you probably know. Very frustrating game but liked the experience overall!

Stationfall #BoardGames

I liked this game a lot! It’s a hidden roles game where you play as one or multiple characters in a space station that is going to fall. You have, as your character, multiple objectives that may or may not collide with other character’s objectives.

You can eventually reveal who your character is, making your character non-controllable by other players but makes your objectives known to everybody.

Keyflower #BoardGames

The second game of the day, same day as stationfall. This is a betting game where you bet for tiles against other players to build your own town.

You need to manage the meeples you use, because some of them don’t come back to your reserve at the end of each round.

First #VideoGame finished of the year: #NoNineSols. This is a game I started on the second half of last year and got stuck in the final boss battle, since the "good ending" has 3 phases and the last one is super hard.

I stopped playing for a few weeks frustrated and picked it up to refresh yesterday and today I beat the boss!

#StuffNootNootPlayedIn2025

Another #VideoGame started last year: #SeaOfStars. I loved this game! I have some toots from days but, as a tldr, very good game, history, characters... and music! Always love playing a good game that has great music (Bravely Default, I'm looking at you).

I didn't think turn-based rpg are my thing, but paper mario and sea of stars proved me wrong

Now I have to decide if I want to pursue the true ending

#StuffNootNootPlayedIn2025

A very quick #VideoGame started this year: #KirbyAndTheForgottenLand.

My first big kirby game!

In a kind of post-apocalyptic earth you go about saving all the waddle dees trapped by the "pack" (the enemy). The first reaction that kirby has to unknown stuff is to try to swallow it so in this game you can turn into a car, cone, pick up water and so on.

Gaia Project #BoardGames

We meet some friends to play gaia project, a game that has you conquering the galaxy. I have a friend that has a lot of "space" themed games and this is one of them.

On this game, you have to terraform planets, to build on them and create an empire. You start building the lowest-tier building, a mine, and later upgrade that mine to create buildings that give you more resources, points, etc.

The Legend Of Zelda - Spirit Tracks #VideoGames

I thought I was going to like this one more than I did. Enjoyed a lot how much "japanese" is this game, with its train fixation (we event have a character that goes around taking photos of trains), but the rest wasn't that good.

The Legend Of Zelda - Echoes of Wisdom #VideoGames

It was a mistake to play two zelda games too close together!

But I liked this game, as many people said the menues are bad with the amount of echoes you end up having at the end of the game. I think i would have encouraged the player to be more creative with a better UI design.

Everhood #VideoGames

Woah, what a weird game. This game has the things you like about Undertale, adds its own and wraps it in a quite challenging gameplay.

I'm thinking about going back to finish some other endings, but I don't think the characters have the same charm that the Undertale ones had. Mostly not because of charsima or bad writing, but because in here they don't *accompany you*, it feels more like you end up finding them in the same places you go.

Neva #VideoGames

Very very very cute and tear jerking experience. Amazing visuals, more engaging gameplay than Gris and a very beautiful story.

Just missed two of the collectibles and I'm thinking of doing a second play through.

The Sexy Brutale #VideoGames

This one was shorter than expeced (<10h) but very enjoyable! The first puzzles were quite easy but later on it gets harder and is very satisfactory.

The mansion is full of secrets and I still miss some (like that weird room in the basement). Had some weird hiccups on my #SteamDeck but it's playable (hint: proton version 7 works wonders).

Chicory: A Coloful Tale #VideoGames

Oh, what a surprise this was. I knew about this game because Lena Rain did the music but I was not expecting such an emotional game.

Gameplay-wise, I think playing on switch was a mistake. This is a game that works better with a mouse and keyboard, since after a while my wrist felt a bit sore, but it was overall fine.

A game about imposter syndrome (and other stuff). If you do any kind of art you should play it!

It Takes Two #VideoGames

I think my hopes were too high for this one. It was a cool game to play in couch co-op and every level felt different, but they were quite... empty? No collectables, no reason to explore, to check out that corner.

The story was ok, but a bit toxic maybe. The couple is clearly unhappy because they didn't know how to manage their child, but the trauma bonding the book makes them do to avoid divorce wasn't any good.

Deltarune Chapters 1-4 #VideoGames

I love deltarune, really. I will be the first to be on top of the next releases but I can't "recommend" this as a game. It's not finished (there are 4 chapters left to be done) and it leaves more questions than answers.

For the story I know so far, the characters are the best and the music is amazing, all bangers. Maybe it's a bit long, considering there are 4 chapters left? We'll see!

Disco Elysium #VideoGames

Wow, what a ride. Overall loved the game, with some details. A bit too political but the story is amazing and the characters are lovely.

It does a thing that I love in story telling: you don't hate anybody. Everyone has their reasons to be as they are, some afraid, some coward, some angry. The game explains to you why they are like that and you end up understanding them.

Poor kim, really. That was a ride for him too

#StuffNootNootPlayedIn2025

Night In The Woods #VideoGames

This was a very very nice hearth warming story. To be fair, I didn't fully understand it, at some points it got a bit abstract, but I enjoyed it very much.

I specially loved the interactions with Bea, about how they are friends sometimes for the need of it, but good friends anyway.

#StuffNootNootPlayedIn2025

Price of Persia The Lost Crown #VideoGames

I forgot about his one! Played it some months ago with my partner.

Quite a well made game, really. Didn't expect much about Ubisoft but this was a very good game. Shame Ubisoft also saw it as a good game and killed any future sequels.

#StuffNootNootPlayedIn2025

Another Code: Recollection #VideoGames

Played on switch, only the first of two games.

I don't think the remake did a good thing on this one . I think it would be cooler with the old visual novel style, with sprites and so on. I don't know why these remakes need to have 3d graphics, bring back 2d sprites please!

Overall, the story is quite plain and predictable. If it is your first visual novel with puzzles would be great, otherwise it helps too much.

#StuffNootNootPlayedIn2025

Having played this, I'm playing Hotel Dusk (from the same developers, but a lot better) while waiting for silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong #VideoGames

Wow! no words. I was expecting this so I'm not the best critic. I loved the game, you can feel the love poured into it on every pixel.

This game costs 20€ and has no ending. There are tons of hidden secrets and treasures, at the end of the game I was hitting every wall I could.

It's not forgiving. Maybe not the first game to enter for a soulslike perspective. But for the 3rd / 4th game, it's perfect.

#StuffNootNootPlayedIn2025

Cult Of The Lamb #VideoGames

I dropped this one, I'm sorry because i wanted to like it but it didn't catch with me.

The part where you manage the cult, that was great. Good pace, plenty of options for a short game.

The roguelike part not so much. I found the levels to be very similar and quite hard to tell where something is an enemy or landscape.

#StuffNootNootPlayedIn2025

Bayonetta: Cereza And The Lost Demon #VideoGames

This one I liked, kind of. The game is **beautiful**, artistically astonishing. It gets a bit of negative points because it is too easy.

The combat has some depth, but you don't get to use it! Cheshire moves, stands and combos get lost in the eter because you can win almost everything just spamming normal attacks.

You can even tank hits with Cereza!

10/10 the narrator voicing cheshire, very fun.
