🇬🇧 Originally, I was doing research on Legion's dialogue in #MassEffect2, but along the way, I may have stumbled upon something that's a lot more juicy - namely, the dialogue Chris L'Etoile had originally written for EDI about his version of the Reapers, and the identity of the person who might actually be behind the idea with Legion's N7 armor.

Chris L’Etoile’s original dialogue about the Reaper embryo & the person who was (probably) behind the decision with Legion’s N7 armor

(EDIT: Okay, so Idk why Tumblr displays the headline twice on my end, but if it does for you, please ignore it.) [Mass Effect 2 spoilers!] FRIENDS! MASS EFFECT FANS! PEOPLE! You wouldn't believe it,...

"(Now that I think about it, it would’ve been interesting if the Reapers targeted humanity because they have the most diverse opinions; that would’ve lined up nicely with the Geth desiring to have as many perspectives in their Consensus as possible.)"

This is also something briefly raised by Samara. If you follow the genetics-means-thought-patterns line of reasoning, though, the protheans' influence upon the development of the asari contrast with their abandoned studies upon humans. Imagine the trouble salarians could get up to if they didn't imprint upon people who were going to control who they took as mates; the corny salarian with the asari step-daughter on Illium might be one of the rebels, not very far away from one joining a mercenary band to meet the expectations of the dalatrasses.

@JTO_is_Typing Now that you mention it, I do remember Samara saying something along those lines in one of her Normandy convos (I'd have to look it up, though).
Ughhh... Honestly, I never liked this whole "memory-stored-in-genetics" thing that they did with the Protheans - it just reminds me way too much of Assassin's Creed (which I hate with a passion), and I personally consider it pseudo-science.
Could you maybe specify which Salarian you're referring to? (This is just so I can look it up.)

@MaddyWaves The corny salarian on Illium is shopping at Memories of Illium, the kiosk you earn the discount for helping out Ereba (being courted by Charr). I make the assumption that a salarian-asari marriage is not controlled by the dalatrasses, since there are no possible salarian offspring.

@MaddyWaves Just north of that on the map of the Illium hub is the kiosk for Gateway Personal Defense, and there's a salarian and asari talking about joining Eclipse. They're passed by twice in this video.

@JTO_is_Typing Thank you for the links.
And yeah, I do agree that the Dalatrasses probably wouldn't meddle in Asari-Salarian relationships, since they don't produce Salarian offspring.
