Don't forget: it's almost time to stop writing 2024 on forms and instead drawing a picture of a skull with blood pouring from its eye sockets
@charliejane The primary difference between this and previous years is the amount, color, and consistency of said flowing blood.
@xgranade @charliejane is this a free flowing, red and hot year? or we thinking more "congealed and flowing like pitch" sorta deal. what's the outlook?
@charliejane Also mushroom clouds in the background, oversized COVID viruses floating past on the fallout-scented breeze
@cstross @charliejane *sniff sniff* mmm! Extra strontium today! Must have been a Russian bomb…
@cstross @charliejane I’m thinking Trump’s epidemiological blunder this term will be a flu variant, although I’m not betting on him limiting it to one major pandemic this time. I think I smell Ebola in the wind…

@charliejane I remember when Think Geek sold skull candles with red wax blood pouring from its eye sockets.

I miss Think Geek. I got my Star Trek TNG jacket from them so I could do the Picard Maneuver whenever stood up wearing it.
Also it was made of polyester which made it authentic to the first TNG costumes, because it retained body odor.

@charliejane I'm still putting the crying emoji from two years ago.
@charliejane
The metamonth of Checkuary must be really interesting around you (:
@charliejane What about Elmo in the laser skinner from that meme?
@charliejane I'm just having a rubber stamp made.
@charliejane Is using both red and black ink to emphasize the blood still optional? I may need to stock up on red ink.
@[email protected] How does this affect those of us that just got used to AM 5785 or 1446 AH?
@charliejane I don't have one with a skull but would this work in a pinch?
@alison @charliejane damn, there is going to be some backstory to that picutre.
@alison @charliejane I had to listen to a dancefloor remix of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" while visiting a Christmas market recently.

@charliejane

This is why barbarians don't drink from the skulls of their enemies. Too many holes! It spills everywhere! Have you ever tried scrubbing mead out of a furry loincloth?

@charliejane @ireneista there will be a full year to train yourself to write "2026", no need to start early.
@charliejane a friend just showed me the perfect image to go along with that marvelous quote
