got my haircut today and the hairdresser commented that I was noticeably grayer in some spots and I was like yeah there’s this software called JIRA
@SecureOwl It's still better that the mess with Excel sheets, eMails, custom ticked systems (yes, multiple), and lots of word of mouth we had before.
But of course it also depends a lot on how it's used/configured.
@mort @SecureOwl It's not the tools - It's whether you have someone to keep things organized. I worked with a project manager who used Excel, PowerPoint slides, later Redmine, which then was replaced by Jira. It all worked well because of her. Currently, we are using GitLab and it's a mess, mostly because people are just throwing everything that comes into there mind into it. ...
@mort @SecureOwl I get issues just with a title (which is the default here, making it not better than an Excel list), no description and I'm saying "We don't have a requirement for this, we don't have th data for it - what do you expect me to do?"
@goedelchen @SecureOwl
Yes, we had some JIRA issues with poor titles and no descriptions (or "see mail", without copy/attachment) for a while as well.
