@jacqueline those are the component-pokin' sticks
if you find yourself in here you will probably need to tentatively poke something at some point, so they conveniently provide sticks to poke with so you don't shock yourself
that's why they don't have copper on them
@jacqueline if you remove the ground screw you'll find that there is solder mask below it, making a really great protective earth connection to a handle with tiny wires carrying mains voltage (at least it was like this on my unit).
The exposed metal part gets hot, so you would never touch it so this makes it safe-ish I guess?
Edit3: oh they soldered the ground connection to the board - thats an interesting way to solve the issue
Edit: your unit seems to have the detachable handle... mains voltage is exposed there, so thats another safety-feature
Edit2: on my unit the crimp connection for protective earth was crimped on a wire with insulation still in place. On your unit it looks like they removed more than enough insulation.
