everyone should question their gender. everyone should be encouraged to do so. it would save trans lives and help cis people understand themselves better too.
@winter and this being normalized would help especially cis people feel comfortable in their gender despite not fitting stereotypes
@LivingCooki @winter My case exactly. Queer/trans people have helped me (cis) a lot in being comfortable with my gender expression and feeling.

@winter

We need more education, not less, the Millennials (and I am one) needed to have come out as Trans (Cisn't) a lot earlier.

I don't see how less transgender education is even a thing.

You can't divide by zero.

@winter A little introspection goes a long way in one who has never tried it. It's a weird and wonderful world on the dark side of the eyelids. Just be aware, that if there is a little navy blue door in there with a bronze lever-type knob and a humming noise behind it, do not open it. Don't even try to look through the keyhole. Figuring out your gender and which kind of furry you are is 100% safe, though, so go for it.
@winter More people (cis and trans) need to realize that "trans" is not the only useful result of questioning one's gender

figuring out one really is cisgender is cool too, and probably gives one a healthier understanding of gender.

Of course there's always the chance one finds out that they're trans and/or nonbinary.

I might be biased on this one, but I also recommend questioning one's species. Do you like being human? What would you be if you had free choice?

@LunaDragofelis @winter

And I think that it might be most healthy to escape the gender stereotypes and their limitations -- male/female, cis/trans, etc. True humans are a lot of things all together. ❤️

@JeffGrigg @LunaDragofelis but we can still have HRT and surgeries right?
@winter Everyone has both male and female hormones. So there's no consistent definition of sex. Rightwingers deny the science on that.
Souls are sexless so I have to wonder if trans people are just more evolved souls, closer to their source. The bible thumpers are the least evolved.
@winter I’m not sure most cis people are able to. All of my cishet friends I’ve talked to about this can’t even conceive of the concept questioning one’s orientation and gender, no matter how much of an ally they may be.
@winter
Not many people practice introspection.
@winter
I agree with this wholeheartedly!
But also, it's perfectly fine and acceptable to question your gender and come to the conclusion that "yeah, my current one aligns with me well"
