1/ We’re at 35 weeks 6 days today, the same point at which Cs youngest came. It’s been a stressful experience since the abnormal test results following the 12 week scan (high #nuchaltranslucency, low #PAPP-A). After much deliberation, we had an #amniocentesis and an agonising three week wait for the results which to our great relief were all clear.

2/ Cs #mentalhealth has taken a hammering with all the worry. She was admitted to hospital for a week, after feeling suicidal. We’re taking #antenatal classes and during the last session the leader brought up #stillbirth and mistakenly told us that 3-4% of babies delivered after 24 weeks will be stillborn. A quick google revealed it was actually around 0.3%, which is #anxiety fuelling enough.
3/ That discussion was enough to send C into a panic and downward spiral again, and yesterday we went into #hospital again because C felt #reducedmovements. I think that’s the third time we’ve been in for that reason. The observations were all good and so while I’m reassured, C is still on edge. About 14 weeks in, C reluctantly decided to start on 40mg of #fluoxetene / #Prozac to get her out of her #mentalhealth crisis. She’s now thinking about upping it, but worries about the impact on baby.
