@mrak You could possibly significantly lower article processing(ie, language, copyediting.....human work) with many open source software tools available now for authors to use for writing and formatting articles. This is beyond just Latex. You will need to do this because social media marketing needs to be done. Authors want to know how many eyeballs will their article get(discoverability and accessibility)?

@yuhasz01 My goal is to be 100% open source. We plan on using the #OJS journal management software, our forum uses #mattermost, and we will soon create a #peertube instance for sharing video content. However, I haven't quite yet been able to migrate from zoom to #jitsi because I need to record the video.

Do you have any specific suggestions about the article processing issues you brought up?
