What's your favorite to-do app?

A native iPhone app is a must, bonus points for Mac and iPad apps. I have already considered Things, OmniFocus, and Reminders.

@aleen I like @due.
@johnbrayton thank you for recommending Due! ❤️

@aleen Due.

Really minimal, but persistent reminders.

@aleen Things! I love the cross platform support especially Apple Watch. And Mac (although that’s a separate purchase) they support back to High Sierra (at least) reminders can be and naggy as you want. I hear Due is a bit too naggy. Things supports Lock Screen widgets and it just does pretty much what I want.

Only downside is recurring reminders often duplicate more than I think I’ve told it.

Oh you can’t add pictures to items, I got over that.

The logbook is great too - and exportable.

@aleen Greatly depends on what you’re looking for but I’m currently trying out Craft for this. I like to keep my daily notes and todo stuff together as that’s typically where my todos come from. And Craft 3 has some good new task management stuff in it which includes emailing reminders of unchecked todo items.
@aleen It also now has Apple Reminders integration I believe although I haven’t tried that out yet.
@danvpeterson oh, the emailed reminders is a really interesting feature!
@aleen I was surprised by that and actually really dig it!
@danvpeterson @aleen That’s basically why I use tasks in Obsidian, it's where I have my daily notes.

@ChristinWhite @Aleen Another really interesting app I’ve recently discovered is called Twos. It’s very focused on both daily notes and todos with a fairly minimal focus compared to some other notes apps. Seems to hit a lot of my needs well so far.

Twos: Remember & Share *Things*

Clear your mind, stay organized, and get things done. Lists, notes, tasks, reminders, calendar events, memories - save time and organize your life with Twos. A quick, easy, and accessible place to write, remember, and share *things*.

@danvpeterson @Aleen I haven't tried it but I've heard good things about it.
@aleen Quire. it's somewhat transformed over the years by turning into a project management app, but the main reason I use it is every task can be broken down into sublists. I tend to use that more for when I'm overwhelmed by large tasks and need to break them down into smaller tasks. For grocery shopping I use Google keep, but I'm on Android and any Todo app is fine for that.
@signalkilled oh, this is interesting! Overkill for me, I think, but interesting nonetheless:)

@aleen No Omni fans yet?

It does cost more than Things, but that extra bit of productivity might be worth it to some. Things has added quite a bit over the years. Like Tags, and checklists in any item both of which I do use quite a bit.

I see in the reviews someone saying that OF has end to end encryption - whereas Things doesn’t.

I think @jamesdempsey is an OmniFocus fan - maybe he has some favorite features?

@aleen Todoist, because it’s fairly feature complete for my needs and available pretty much everywhere. I can’t work with an app that is only available on Apple devices.

@aleen I’ve been using OmniFocus for many years now and it has definitely kept me on track in many ways.

If you have any questions about OF in particular I’d be happy to answer them Aleen!

@aleen Remember the Milk. Sadly hasn't had any significant updates in years, but just works great and covers many many options and needs, especially task sharing.
@Razz omg rtm is still around‽ That’s amazing. I haven’t thought of it or heard its name in so long. I used to love it. Because cow. 🐮
@aleen I’ve been using GoodTask so I can keep the baked-in goodness of Reminders while customizing the look and feel to suit my needs.
@uberhosen oh, interesting! Thanks!

@aleen I've been using Obsidian but it's not ideal unless you're already deep in Obsidian's system, if I wasn't I really like NotePlan and would likely use that.

I also just discovered Godspeed on SetApp which also looks interesting.
