When making #rockyroad , does anyone else find that recipe instructions to crush the biscuits with a rolling pin in a freezer bag

a) produce too much 'sand'
b) leave too many huge chunks of biscuit or some entirely unbroken
c) cause the bag to split spilling crumbs everywhere

Is it, in fact, easier to just break the biscuits by hand, to produce pieces of the desired size?

Also, what hashtags should I be using here? I don't feel like .#cooking and .#baking really apply to rocky road! 😃
