"There may be a function for that" -- Speaker Mike Johnson leaves the door open for Trump to ram through his cabinet nominees with recess appointments
@aaron.rupar Not an 'overwhelming popular vote'. Not a 'mandate'. Maybe if Trump's announced choices weren't antithetical to the roles for which they are being nominated, the 'advice and consent of the Senate' wouldn't be a concern of those in what is left of the Republican Party.

@TomShafShafer @aaron.rupar The Nixon admin's ordered corrupt legal opinion on the amenability of sitting presidents to criminal prosecution & indictment belongs into the shredder of history, as much as Leonard Leo's CJ John Roberts's corrupt decision on presidential immunity, tailormade for career criminal Donald Trump, an infamous decision violating the fundamental principle of every Rule of Law, that
*** No one is above the law ***!

As well-known law professor Ronald Rotunda, who wrote a legal opinion for Ken Starr at the time of Bill Clinton's presidency, put it so accurately:

"The Constitution does not create an absolute monarch above the law."

Every attempt to do so would constitute a crime against the Constitution.
This applies to Trump's co-conspirators as well as to his ringleaders/ puppeteers.

Mini MAGA magic Mike will do anything trump tells him to do. Can't wait to see a picture of him huffing a big Mac.
@aaron.rupar
We don't call him Moscow Mike Johnson for no reason so we can definitely expect him to do everything his Kremlin handlers tell him to.
