Apple faces a new $3.75 billion antitrust lawsuit over iCloud storage

Apple is facing a lawsuit from a UK consumer group that alleges the iPhone maker violated competition law by “forcing” customers to use its iCloud service.

@crispius I use iCloud primarily because it’s provided for me but also Dropbox to share with my partner on Android and Backblaze as my whole drive backup for my laptop.

Synology drive provides all the capabilities of cloud-based storage, with the added advantage of not having to store my data on someone else’s computer/feed it to their AI.

The challenge I’m trying to solve for next is offsite backup; if my house were to burn down or get hit my a meteor all of my data is here. ☄️
