I’m loving Kagi search more and more. I would love to be able to bring up a Kagi search bar and begin typing my query. I can somewhat do that with LaunchBar but I first have to launch LaunchBar. Any ideas? #macos #kagi #automation
@paulgrav there is an Alfred workflow https://help.kagi.com/kagi/community-addons/
I don't get what you mean by "but I first have to launch LaunchBar". Shouldn't an application launcher always run and be activated by some keyboard shortcut?

Kagi Search Help

@darkunicorn I map ALT+Space to LaunchBar. I wrote my own Kagi LaunchBar action. To get to it... 1. Press ALT+Space 2. Type Ka 3. 3. Press Enter 4. Type query. 5. Press enter

I want 1. Press ALT+SOMEKEY 2. Type query. 3. Press Enter.

@paulgrav I see. Looks like that’s a limitation of LaunchBar. Binding different Shortcuts to different actions can be done in e.g. Raycast (or Sol if you prefer OSS).
@darkunicorn It’s more of a me limitation. I’ve tried Alfred and Raycast, and they just don’t work the way my brain expects them to work.
The closest I’ve got to what I want is: 1. CMD+Space to open Spotlight 2. Type query 3. CMD+B
