Because Spouse and I finished watching (rewatch for me) the #cdrama #JoyOfLife and the western show #WelcomeToWrexham, we needed a new show to watch. I gave him two options: the #kdrama #LikeFlowersInSand and the cdrama #WhoRulesTheWorld. We watched one episode of each.

He was disappointed by the 1st ep of LFIS, but now is fully invested (we watched 2-5 last night). It is quiet but full of heart. And mysteries. And small town sports culture. And childhood to adulthood friendship changes.

Episode 5 of the #kdrama #LikeFlowersInSand includes a controversy and I find the way the male lead handles it to be so exemplary and heart-warming. He could have gone one way, but instead stuck to his solid knowledge of self and those around him, his solid knowledge of ethics and power dynamics, and his extraordinary understanding of humans to right a situation (or two) with the utmost care for the person most hurt by it.

Ugh, I love his character so much!

What I didn't catch the first watch and am appreciating now are all the single shot scenes. Commonly, a long scene is full of cut-shots: camera A, camera B , compiled into one scene.
#LikeFlowersInSand has some beautifully shot scenes with no cuts, as folks walk down a street, around a corner, etc.
@JillsJoy
The cinematography in so many #kdrama shows is top-tier! I like a lot of the shots that focus on a reflection.
