@solownh @adhdeanasl I cannot remember where I read it, but somewhere in the Bible it says that the Gospel is preached, even to the dead, but perhaps I imagined it?

Also, ministers all over are getting complaints from parishioners who don't like the Beatitudes. They think it sounds "weak." They reject hearing straight from the Bible they purport to believe in. They are completely disingenuous about their own faith. They want to be on the winning side of a divide devised in their own minds. They want Rambo Jesus, a god made of their own desires, in their own image. That is the very definition of idolatry and they cannot be made to see it.
