It seems as though there are two Americas. Trump's and Harris's

Here are some stats to help you understand the difference.

@MarkHoltom There ARE two Americas, never doubt it! And if "Harris' America" should ever secede from "Trump's America", the latter will be in great trouble.
@Eetschrijver @MarkHoltom it feels like such a separation would be the best thing....not just for America, but for its nervous northern neighbour as well.
@hfinyow
I sometimes have happy dreams about such an outcome.
@MarkHoltom

@hfinyow @Eetschrijver @MarkHoltom How are you going to make the separation, though? This is not North-South. This is physical fragmentation of the country.

But what is really actually DISGUSTING about the thought of separating as a "solution" is it means finally abandoning the descendants of the slaves to the Confederates. Conceding the Civil War to the Rebels, FULLY, including slavery.

@hfinyow @Eetschrijver @MarkHoltom The Emancipation Proclamation BTW freed the slaves (on paper) only in the Rebel states, if memory serves. Lincoln wouldn't have had the power to free slaves in Union or Border states. Some of those, such as Missouri and Kentucky, would be seceding this time, taking their descendants of slaves with them and reënslaving them under a Jim Crow II. And much of the rusty Midwest would secede as well, taking those who had migrated for industrial jobs.
@chemoelectric
I would, by the way, assume that everyone so inclined would travel to the "red" or the "blue" part as they were inclined.
@hfinyow @MarkHoltom
@chemoelectric
Well, I'm not making the separation, that would make itself. But Alaska's part of the USA, isn't it? It's not unheard of.

I feel obligated to point out there is no such thing as a "red state." States are arbitrary political boundaries. So-called red states contain a mixture of red and blue voters, and often the percentage point difference is not as vast as people think. The blue voters in red states are usually the most vulnerable of the population and have the least resources. Not all will agree, but I see a moral duty to not abandon these people.
