11/9/74 passaic: after recording chuck berry’s LET IT ROCK earlier in the year for “compliments of...” & playing it once with the dead, the 1st circulating version with garcia/saunders, snappier & more country-ish than the album (or the dead version). a solo staple through ’95. if being generous with segue marks, 18-minute LA LA > PEOPLE MAKE THE WORLD GO ROUND, a nice move from busy to mellow, LA LA getting to some fluid places but never quite opening. #garciafreaksunite #jg110974 [2/2]
