Just bought a typewriter.

You can tell it's old because it's got neofetch on it.

@limes does it run OpenBSD?

@prahou @limes

As a "graduated secretary" I can type by all ten pretty quickly. But I'm too young, so I've been trained on "electronic" typewriters already... And when I tried to use this mechanic destroyer, I was close to unable to write a single line. 😂

@prahou @limes OpenBSD is not as important as Doom!

@limes > traveller de luxe

good taste

@limes oh that's a nice one
@limes That's funny! BTW, it's about 2kB per page of ASCII text, assuming A4 or US Letter sized paper.

Yea but actually it operates on a 7bit-ish pre-ASCII set.

Can I see the output of top, please?
I figure it has a column for C/min :)

@limes but can it run Crysis?
@limes also I just noticed. Are those the bisexual colors on your nails?
@limes xD For a second I thought it's a terminal for an actual computer. ^^
@limes oooh, that's pretty! I dont' think I've ever seen that model before.
@limes omg i love mine! It's very nice :D

@limes

Even with a fresh tape!

@limes Typewriters are so cool! I kinda want one, but I guess a Palm IIIxe PDA and a Dot Matrix printer will suffice for me

@limes I miss my old Underwood manual #Typewriter. It was great for envelopes and carbon paper forms 🌞

P.S. I had never heard of neofetch until recently, when I installed #NixOS. OTOH it looks really amazing on #NixOnDroid 😎

@limes OK, #NixOnDroid neofetch turns not to be quite as cool as I remember it. I would paste it in here, but I doubt that the ANSI color codes probably wouldn't work here even if it didn't blow out the 500 character limit, so here's a screenshot:
@limes : wait… oh did I never thought of doing *that* ? That’s genius !
@limes You absolutely need a follow for this
@limes QZERTY?
@fullmetaltwin Yup! Honestly haven't looked up what layout that might be. The first time I looked at it I thought it was the Italian keyboard layout, but that's AZERTY I'm pretty sure (for typewriters only, we use QWERTY for computer keyboards, thankfully)
@limes : Try a ./configure on this box...
@limes I really like the color scheme of your nails. And that they fit nicely with the bright red of your typewriter :)
@limes I thought the Memory is gonna be "Human Brain"?
@limes haha! Love this post 😄
@limes I love that model. I own a green one. made in sarajevo, yugoslavia.

@esopriester @limes

š or ш ?

@CGdoppelpunkt @limes German layout

@esopriester @limes

A typewriter with German keyboard made in Sarajevo?

@CGdoppelpunkt @limes yes. this model specificly was made there with several international layouts

@esopriester @limes

Interesting. - I know a lady in Bulgaria who was one of the chief engineers in the Bulgarian typewriter factory "Marica" in Plovdiv. She developed the first Bulgarian ball-head typewriter.

@limes a cat with red shades
@limes What kind of layout is that? QZERTY?
Keyboard layout - Wikipedia

@shrekonsec @GromBeestje I could've sworn that was AZERTY. Whoops! Makes sense, considering I found this here in Italy
@limes Trop bien, j'en ai une aussi, c'est un plaisir d'être sur le temps long.
@limes lol, not even screenfetch
(really, what do people use instead of neofetch now? I didn't even hear about neofetch until recently, i've been using screenfetch forever)
@wyatt8740 @limes Fastfetch seems to be the go-to these days. Because it's, er... fast, I guess.
@limes :wq to save and turn it off btw

@limes ok so, I kid you not, but I'm so stupid I legit thought that you made some sort of adapter that prints stuff from a terminal on this typewriter.

That's a very clean job and a fun toot, love the colours!

@jonn Haha, that would be cool... thank you!

@limes

"It is interesting to do something we don't care about efficiency."

@limes

Is that uptime count accurate to before or after you finished typing the output? XD

@amin Definitely after hahaha
