I need your help! Please Donate or Boost!

A week ago I had emergency surgery due to a bowel perforation caused by diverticulitis.

I almost died.

Now, I am recovering from abdominal surgery, with an ostomy port on my stomach.

I need a lot of special medical supplies for the next three months. Things that are not covered by my insurance: Flushable wipes, gloves, OTC pain meds, Antibacterial soap/gels, transportation, waterproof bandages, sweat pants, and slide on shoes.

Please Donate or Boost! I'm trying to get enough money to cover all my medical needs for the next three months.

Right now I'm in recovery. I'm weak and tired all the time. I will slowly improve until I have a surgery in 3 months to reverse the ostomy.

Then we get to go through this whole process again.

I have thought of making a kickstarter (and I still might) but I need help with supplies right now and the fastest way I have is PayPal.

Who am I?
I'm Maeve Moon, author, artist, and occasional animator. I write #LGBTQIA sci-fi and fantasy novels. I play video games with my (adult) children. I have a cute black cat named Peppa.

I'm also a Type 1 Diabetic, SA survivor, with CPTSD and DID. I'm disabled, but I've never been able to get disability. (I've been denied multiple times.)

This year, I've been focusing on writing new novels so I can support myself. I succeeded in finishing drafts on 3 novels and was working on a 4th when I went into the hospital.

Right now, I can't sit at my desk long enough to write or edit much. I'm very weak and in a lot of pain daily, so I sleep and lay around a lot, but having an ostomy is a surgery which requires monitoring and regular care to make sure I am safe, healthy, and functioning.

I have good support at home with my family, and they've taken on a lot of the burden of my care, but they can't afford everything I need.

Please boost or donate, I really need the help right now.

I'm probably going to set up a kickstarter, but it will take me time.

Please donate if you can, any amount donated now will reduce the total amount for the GoFundMe.*

*honestly, I'm on pain meds and math is hard, so the overall may go up or down a bit after I take another cost assessment pass.

I have no idea what taxis/ubers cost, for example. OTOH, I might be able to get free transportation from Health Access.

**Changed Kickstarter to GoFundMe (which is what I meant.)

Talked to my insurance and got some bad news. While most of my surgery is covered, thank goodness, some of the supplemental services I need will not be.

This looks like it's going to cost between $2000-3000 between now and my next surgery.

(Yes, I have to go through all of this again in 3 months)

Obviously, this changes how much money I'll need, so I've prioritized finishing the GoFundMe and will launch it in the next day or two.

I just need to talk to another insurance manager to verify everything and run the numbers to be sure.

Right now, I still need help getting medical supplies (Gloves, Wipes, antibacterial soap, etc)

While the GoFundMe is finalizing, please still boost or donate my paypal link !!!
