Reddit "Am I The Asshole" fiction and Twitter bait posts and YouTube pipelines and TikTok therapy/chad lifestylers making 20's men and women mutually insufferable unreflective unempathetic doomer coomers.

Yeah that's right I'm not a misandrist or a misogynist – I'm the 3rd, other thing.

Oh. Old.

@SwiftOnSecurity I start to think they’re all fiction to make money but then I do something like get on a perfectly ordinary plane and the businessman next to me sticking his elbow in my side has his ringtone on full volume Rihanna’s “Cheers” the whole flight, and he’s having a fight with the flight attendant because they won’t give him a Monster energy drink. Some people are just the asshole, algorithm be damned.

@SwiftOnSecurity I mean, to be fair, all of these platforms are financially benefitting themselves/their creators for baiting engagement and fundamentally people in my age bracket and younger are just miserable and essentially have no perspective
The amount of people my age that I come across that have essentially just given up is wild, but I also genuinely cannot blame them given the socio-economic climate we're in

Also it's fine to be old, you're still a good and decent human being at heart

@SwiftOnSecurity im in my 20s and even though I'm "aware" of it I still sometimes notice that type of shit working on me. It's so fucked.

The thing that keeps me sane is the fact that my real life friends aren't like this, but I really fear for those who don't have that kind of environment to ground them in reality
