#Megalopolis : une comédie cynique et kaléidoscopique sur un homme qui ne sait plus qui il est, mais qui se souvient.

Il se souvient notamment de ce film, qui a dû le marquer profondément :

#Megalopolis is a masterpiece and its flop is part of it. Coppola wanted to make a point : Most people just consume movies as very similar products, with a beginning, a middle, and an end, all featuring very specific interactions and character, on and on, movie after movie. It was fun in the 2000's, it is not anymore. Like a greek tragedy that has stayed for so long in the freezer that it begins to smell foul.
Most people don't wanna be surprised, enticed, disoriented. They are slightly bored with their daily bland porridge, but can"t imagine eating something else. So they whine or laugh when they stumble upon a real artwork because they think not understanding something is fundamentally a bad thing.

Great directors use the movie theaters like a blank page, not a limited canvas.

By the way, great directors are not Christopher Nolan (whom nobody will remember unless they wanna be bored really hard).

If you don't understand a movie, don't feel bad.

Just be thankful not to be able to grasp everything in the world.

This is how to marvel.
