I’ve thought a lot, with dread, about the fact that even if Harris prevails, I have to share a country with all those who vote for Donald. But the show of support for Harris, here and elsewhere, is and will be a powerful reminder that I share the country with millions of people who understand the stakes of this election and the strengths of Kamala Harris.
@heidilifeldman I hear you Heidi - Last night at his election therapy stop in Princeton, Borowitz addressed the fact that half the country bizarrely supports something this apparently evil. He pointed to the fact that 50/50 is common. One example he gave, Grant vs Seymour, first pres election to take place after CW. Seymour platform was pro-slavery. Grant decisively won the electoral vote, but his margin was narrower in the popular vote.
Somehow his examples made me breathe easier:)
