SO HELP ME

@cabel the existence of email and gmail implies there must also be an fmail
@cabel what if it’s Hey?
@cabel @mcphat Fair, but that limitation makes things a hell of a lot easier for the developer. The email app I once wrote made me really wish that SMTP and IMAP were as easy to use as GMail’s API.
@atomicbird @mcphat i believe it! but i’m just saying if i can’t check my email with your email client it’s not an email client.
@atomicbird @cabel @mcphat IMAP is easy. The Letters.app people said so, it has to be true.

@atomicbird @cabel @mcphat But real developers don’t do it because it’s easy.

They do it because they thought it was going to be easy.

(Not mine, but the original made me laugh so hard, I had to reuse it.)

@cabel every crappy ‘best email client’ listicle
@cabel can't wait till mimestream becomes an email client then
@cabel Is this about Notion Mail?
