What's up with headphones all having gesture controls? I have only ever used them accidentally. I am afraid to touch my headphones now. Am I just old or has this always been a bad idea.
@samanbb no, they're just terrible. It'd be one thing if they were only on big headphones with an over the head band, but no, we've invented ear buds you're not allowed to push back in when they work loose
@fractilegames@samanbb it is, to be fair, quite hard to put too many physical buttons on ear buds but still, I can skip tracks from my phone, it's fine
@andrewt@samanbb Yes, there are many cases where capacitive "buttons" and gestures are a reasonable compromise. I just hate the trend of putting capacitive controls and touch screens in _everything_
@samanbb my over the ear Sonys do that. It's never really been a problem and at the gym it's pretty useful if you're on a machine and want to skip a track.
