wbpeckham@lauren Well, in the first place, Mastodon is a server piece for the fetivers. It understands the activity pub protocol. The activity pub protocol defines the network. Mastodon is just one kind of thing that can live on it. If all those things that live on a network made up of activity pub were like cats, they would rarely talk to each other instead of talking to each other all the time. Nothing you don't have a point, but... Meow? No.
