Three positive things for today:
10/20/2024

1. Sitting on the patio, enjoying the last day of above average temps prior to a cold front coming in.
2. Started reading 'The Castle of Ortranto" written in 1765 by Horace Walpole. It is the first 'Gothic' horror story. 👻
3. A (mostly) competitive Formula 1 auto race.

Today's exercise: 1.83 mile walk in 33 minutes

@Jason844 How is the story so far?

@tiamat271 Finished 'The Castle of Ortranto' last night. At midnight! 🕛

It's was OK. Interesting from the historical perspective.

Very tame by 21st Century standards. It contained just about every Gothic theme possible: ghosts, prophecy, visions, a love triangle, lust, murder, sins of previous generations dooming the current one, hidden identity/legacy, chivalry, treachery, religious overtones, etc.
