@tom fwiw, I hadn’t twigged the Severance S2 episode 4 twist at the end - i’m a bit slow I guess 🙃 😆

@tom Severance is just "oh!" all the time. I agree the cinematography is out of this world. Also: Danger Mouse! The sense it makes is down to all the interpretations you place upon it.

Arguably S2 is less successful than S1 in this sense because S1 was pure Plato's Cave, while they appear to be going full "David Lynch's Office Space" now

@rgarner I did say “Danger Mouse!” aloud when Danger Mouse came on. It’s the rules.
@tom I should just like to say I continue to enjoy these immensely.
@rgarner Thank you (and @jamesjefferies) for saying so. For the most part they float out into space unheeded so it’s nice to hear they’re providing some entertainment.

@tom

- Yaay, gym membership 💪👏 great first step! 🤩
- My cultural knowledge of video games is practically zero but I do know Neva! The studio behind it is from Barcelona but I've never played it 😶‍🌫️
- I finished The Last of Us! Let's talk about it when I'm back
- Good luck returning to the office tomorrow! I will enjoy my last Spanish public holiday 🥲

@tom also a fan here. 😁
Since you are starting new TV shows, I feel like Arcane would be right up your street if you haven't seen it already. It's very impressive dramatic and stylistic animation. (see also: Spiderverse films)
@Odaeus Thank you on both counts! I’ve been meaning to watch Arcane for a while (apparently it’s fine that I don’t know the first thing about League of Legends?) so I’ll bump it up the list.
@tom this is true, I know nothing about the game except vaguely remembering it existed. Apparently it’s still going since 2011 with millions of players.

@tom @Odaeus I knew a little bit about the game, and it made me pay attention according to my expectations, which wasn't the best thing. I believe it may be even better if you don't know anything.

Also, it's absurdly good. The 100% rating on RT is well deserved.

@tom “I transported three televisions between different London locations”

In Barcelona, I would’ve called a free cleaning service from the city hall to pick up the old TV for proper recycling. Isn’t there a similar option in London?

And what about the other two TVs? 😵‍💫 Why so many? Asking without judging 👀

@marinaaisa There’s no free cleaning service. I could’ve paid the council to come and take the old TV away (https://hackney.gov.uk/bulky-waste) but that’s more expensive than renting a car for an hour to take it to the recycling centre myself. 🤷🏻‍♂️

> Until then? This.

You’ll be hearing from my lawyers

@tom I should like to address points 1. and 2.

1. I discovered a mostly empty 10 year-old jar of Marmite in a cupboard this week and had some of it on toast. It was divine. Check back in another 10 years for the next instalment
2. I can't see myself needing LTE but my watch has it so should I get it? I expect I'd feel similar about the phone and I thought I'd start running but I did one run before deciding I was definitely a cyclist

@rgarner A solitary jar of Marmite (jarmite™) cost me over three British pounds at the supermarket so you’ve effectively made a profit from your long-term investment in Marmite futures. On the watch it’s too soon to say; I’ll report back if I end up going further than the end of the road.
@tom a friend saw my post in Another Place about my decade-old Marmite and countered with having recently eaten Marmite from a jar whose price was in shillings and pence. He's the real winner here.
@tom wow, love the special karaoke emphasis on the text whilst playing the audio clip - hope you’ve got some analytics wired up to see how many times each visitor plays the clip 😆
@jamesjefferies Thanks! Nope, everyone may enjoy themselves privately.

Me: how was your weekend, Tom?

Tom:

@tom I used to work in the right side of the building before it was converted into a hotel, had no idea it had reached such fame
