Thinking of adding a simple, cartridge-like mechanism for small modules like camera, humidity sensor, gyroscope, etc —nothing too fancy or complex. #Pilet
@soulscircuit Also consider an SDR module?
@soulscircuit #Meshtastic #LoRa compatible module would be awesome!
@soulscircuit @jan a port that'd support hard stemma plug would be really nice

I love the idea! 💖

As a non-cell-phone person📵 , the biggest challenge for me with using Meshtastic is finding a good portable solution. So a handheld computer with a fully Meshtastic compatible module would be grate! ✨

A device like that would be a game-changer for folks like me who want the benefits of Meshtastic without being reliant on a smartphone.

Can't wait to see what the community comes up with!🦾

@soulscircuit
Perhaps doing like Framework does and have a cartridge format connected via USB C?
@soulscircuit yo what if you made it a game boy cart slot
@soulscircuit That's a great idea! A camera module would be super useful for scanning QR codes, like synchronizing messengers or configuring WiFi access. Would love to see that happen!
@soulscircuit Modularity is the way to go! Different cameras are often optimal for different applications on the Raspberry Pi, so having a cartridge-like mechanism would be a big advantage. What would the connection look like, though? Would it be possible to use it for other applications like computer vision or machine learning?

Some additional features that could be really useful:

- GPS module for location tracking 🌎 🛰️

- 4G or LTE module for wider connectivity options

- Accelerometer for activity monitoring

@soulscircuit Moim zdaniem powinieneś po prostu wstawić miejsce. Normalnie przykręcane na śruby i tyle. Jeśli mam miec tam dysk, akumulator czy kamerę, chciałbym by to było stabilne i mocne.
