Hello, Mastadon developers. I'm a web developer but I recently doubled is some simple(-ish) game making. Mostly Adventure games.

My question is: In what ways do you marked and distribute your games that doesn't include social media?

@mayaisloading Game jams are a great way to get exposure.

Thank you! I've been browsing some this morning and saw one that's right up my alley. Any tips if you've taken place in game jams? I'm thinking about making a demo in the duration of the jam and submitting it as my entry because I would love to build my idea further afterwards. Is that a good option?

@mayaisloading Oh yeah totally! Make sure you sneak as much of your own branding & links to website/social media in there as you can - because the jams tend to keep everything contained in their own ecosystem.

I've done jams on Itch.io and the Global Game Jam. They were a lot of fun. 😁

Thank you! And I'd love to check out some of your games if you could provide a link or smth? 😊😊

@mayaisloading The most recent one was a card game my son & I made as an entry for the #GlobalGameJam with our local usergroup. 😊
